With the Premier League Season being less than 20 days away, many are eager for the season to start. Man City ran away with the league last season and Mohamed Salah blew everyone away in the Golden Boot Race. Here are my predictions on this Premier League Season…
Tottenham Wins the League… Finally.
After 3 straight seasons of placing in the top four, I believe Tottenham is poised to finally win the title. It’s been over a 50 year drought, but I believe Harry Kane can carry them over the top. With a solid defense and a young midfield, which includes the likes of Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen, Tottenham has all the tools behind Pochettino’s System to get it done.
Salah Keeps the Golden Boot
After an absolutely dominating campaign last season, Mo Salah has some pressure to keep his golden boot, which he will. Salah might be one of the most clever players I’ve watched. Using his speed and skill he can break down defenses by himself, which is what separates him from the rest of the pack. The talent of the Liverpool side will surely feed him the ball, which is why I believe he will retain his golden boot with 27+ goals.
Man City Falls Below the top 4
Yes, call me crazy, but Man city will do what Chelsea did last season. After cruising to a title last season, City will play relaxed and teams will give them their best game every time they play them. Also, with the World Cup ending, look for fatigue to play a big role into City’s lineup, as most of the players went deep into the tournament. City showed the talent that they had last year, but I think this will get to their head this season.
N’golo Kante Wins PFA Player of the Year
After winning a World Cup Title with France, I think everyone realizes how good of a player Kante is. Kante holds the midfield down and might be the most all around midfielder you will see. With the ability to pass and be a backbone in the midfield, sniff passes out, and make great tackles at his size, I think Kante leads Chelsea back into the top 4 of the table. I think Kante will have a Career year in the midfield, creating for others as well as playing defense and maybe score some goals as well. This season you will see all of these on display and will ultimately realize that Kante is the most important player on Chelsea’s Team.
