Coming off a great 2017-2018 season, the Wild had a fairly quiet offseason, except for signing Matt Dumba to a five-year, $30 million extension. They also brought in defenseman Greg Pateryn who will hopefully provide help on the blue line.
The Ducks have had a fairly uneventful offseason; they have let go of some older players (Francois Beauchemin, Kevin Bieksa, Antoine Vermette) to clear cap space. The big resigning of this year was Adam Henrique, who came from New Jersey and got a five-year extension worth more than $5 million per year. In the last five years, he has scored 20 or more goals four times. Anaheim has also picked up Brian Gibbons, Carter Rowney, Luke Schenn, and Andrej Sustr.
