The NCAA tournament started last Thursday and Murray State point guard Ja Morant stole the show. Morant was the highlight of his team’s 83-64 win over Marquette in the opening round of the tournament.
Morant had a triple-double, his third of the season – 17 points, 16 assists, and 11 rebounds. It was the first triple-double in the NCAA Tournament since Michigan State’s Draymond Green did it in 2012.

Duke vs NC Central/North Dakota State
I really don’t see a plausible scenario in which Duke could possibly lose this game.
VCU vs UCF
UCF has gotten some attention in the last couple weeks but VCU is by far the better team. Despite an A10 tournament loss to Rhode Island, VCU is really good. They dominated the A10 in the regular season and they have KenPom’s 7th best defense.

No season in college basketball is created equal. Last year’s unpredictable nature in which top-ranked teams fell from grace at a higher clip than ever before, was certainly not expected to be duplicated one year thereafter.
While that narrative proved to be true, storylines and plot twists alike were in abundance once again as we now find ourselves on a crash course for what many believe to be the greatest tournament in all of sports.

1. Champions Classic Teams
The NCAA does a great job pitting top tier talent on the court going against each other to open the season. Because of such a long regular season, losing these games really doesn’t matter so playing them is only just a huge benefit for the fans.
